I always wanted to be a mother. Some of my earliest memories are centered around dressing up my cat and carrying him around the neighbor in a stroller. He actually obliged sometimes. I would cry to my mom asking her to please have more babies. Please.

Laura is the oldest and I am the youngest. Since there are 10 years between us we have always had a good relationship. When I was younger she was my second mom and now she is one of my best friends.

I got married young. That actually wasn’t in “the plans”. I was going to get a few years of college done. Then go on a mission for my church. Then graduate. Then I was going to get married.

But one day I walked into the smoothie shop of one fine, tall, 6’7 tall, dark and handsome man. I was so nervous when I saw him I couldn’t even speak. The funny thing? He had been to my house before but I hadn’t even noticed him.

2 & 1/2 months later we were married and 9 months after that we had our first child. That little boy is now 16. What?? Two girls and then 3 more boys joined in the crazy fun.

I love to sing in the kitchen loudly and to laugh and play games with my family. Running outside has become a sacred time for me to listen to inspirational music and talks.

I desire to cherish my life. I’m constantly reading articles and listening to Mormon channel because I want to be the best me possible. I’m a recovering perfectionist and now at 36 I’m starting to embrace who I am and what I have to offer the world.

Throughout the ups and downs of life I have developed, am still developing, a love for my Savior. I fail often and I need Him daily. My desire is to share what I have learned and am currently learning that has helped my life to become more joyful and richly full of purpose.
